jQuery prepend() Method

The jQuery prepend() method inserts specified content at the beginning of the selected elements.

Parameter Values

Possible values:
  • HTML string

  • jQuery object
func(index, htmlString) Specifies a function that returns the content to insert at the beginning of each element in the set of matched elements.
Parameter Values:
  • index - Receives the index position of the element in the set. Optional.
  • htmlString - Receives the old HTML value. Optional.
