The ontouchstart event occurs when the user touches an element.

Note: This event works only in touch screen devices.

ontouchstart Event as Attribute

Syntax

As Attribute

<element ontouchstart = "JavaScript">

object.addEventListener("touchstart" , myScript);

Using addEventListener() Method

Note: The addEventListener() method is not supported in Internet Explorer 8 and below.
