The RegExp \S metacharacter finds a non-whitespace character.

Note: The following are the list of whitespace character.

  • space - A space character
  • tab - A tab character
  • \r - A carriage return character
  • \n - A new line character
  • \v - A vertical tab character
  • \f - A form feed character

new RegExp("\\S"); //or /\S/

Syntax with modifiers
